Sustainable Packaging: Tennis Balls
Using origami to create buckle resistant paper packaging
Form Development
How did this form come about? Ironically, by complete failure. While looking to create the Yoshimura pattern to create a collapsible form, I missed a couple folds and created a form that was incredibly resistant to buckling. The hexagonal form was chosen for nesting on store shelves without interlocking with other products. Finally, the surface graphics were designed to distinguish different lines of products while maintaining the same form.
